A UIC workshop on Energy Efficiency dedicated to management of parked trains and refurbishment of rolling stock will be held on June 8th at the NS Offices in Haarlem (The Netherlands).
This workshop will be an excellent opportunity for managers, advisors and professional specialists to exchange experiences on best practices of procedures to reduce energy consumption during the management of parked trains and the best technologies and cases for refurbishment of rolling stock.
Augusto Franco and Luis Sequeira, from Nomad Tech’s Power Systems department, will be presenting the Power Traction GTO to IGBT upgrade solution.
The workshop will include other presentations of rail industrial manufacturers, suppliers specialized in auxiliary systems and technical solutions developers retrofitting rolling stock, followed by fruitful discussions, allowing benchmarking as well as the exchange of experiences and the networking between participants.
In addition, UIC members will have the opportunity to share their experiences in the implementation of new technologies in existing rolling stock and the adopted procedures to reduce energy consumption on parked trains.
